Council Boss Commends Lagosians

A member of the National Assembly, a Lagos lawmaker and a local government chairman in Lagos State have commended the people of the state not only for participating in the last local government election in but also for voting massively for the candidates of their party, the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

James Abiodun Faleke, member of House of Representatives, representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Wahab Wale Alawiye-King, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Lagos Island 2 and the re-elected Chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government, Kamal Abiodun Ayinde Bayewu, all agreed that the victory of ACN at the polls was an indication that the people of the state are in love with the reform programmes of the party and the development at the grassroots.

“I want to commend the people of the state not only for participating actively in the exercise but also for voting massively for the ACN candidates. I want to assure them that our party will not disappoint them,” Faleke said.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Anti-Corruption, National Ethics and Values, also assured that the new mandate given to ACN candidates at the grassroots would be well utilised through the provision of development projects aimed at bringing dividends of democracy to the people as well as improve their standard of living. “Our party is committed to the people’s welfare and that is why we put forward candidates that the people want which they have displayed through their voting pattern last Saturday,” he said.

According to Bayewu, who was re-elected with all ACN coucillors in his local government, the victory really humbled him as he was overwhelmed with the show of love, affection and support by the people culminating in the massive votes he recorded in last Saturday’s election.
