Bamigbetan Charges Ejigbo Council Legislators

The re-elected Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos State, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, has charged the council’s legislators to strive to perform beyond the expectations of the people of the community when they start sittings.

Bamigbetan gave the charge while inaugurating the third session of the legislative arm of the council at the council’s secretariat in Ejigbo on Saturday.

The occasion, which was his first official function after he was sworn in as chairman of the council, was witnessed by the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, party leaders in Ejigbo and other council managers.

Mr. Adeniyi Abayomi from Oke Afa ward was voted as the leader of the house, while Mr. Tajudeen Suleiman was elected as his deputy at the event which was supervised by the council Legal Officer, Barrister M. Solate.

Bamigbetan in his speech told the legislators to see their oath of office as a bond between them and the people saying; “I will like to implore you to always revisit your certificate of oath as a way of remembering the significance of this day.”

He promised to complete the Ejigbo-Ajao Estate link bridge,which has been approved by the house, in order to reduce traffic logjam on the road.

Bamigbetan revealed that a jetty will be constructed at Ejigbo for the use of ferry boats, adding that the project has been approved by the appropriate quarters.

He promised the rehabilitation of 30 major roads in the council, 10 of which will be completed every year of his administration.

Bamigbetan promised to create new job opportunities for youths in the council area with the support of the private sector.
