Goldie Wins Best Female Act Twice In One Year

Celebrated pop singer and one of Nigeria’s leading female act, Suzan Harvey, popularly known as Goldie has achieved a double feat within this year alone: clinching Best Female Act of the Year twice.

On 7 August, Ikole-Ekiti born diva was first announced the Best Female Act at the 2011 edition of the City People Entertainment Awards. And while still savouring that, the fair skinned beauty also clinched the ELOY awards for the Best Female Artiste of the Year in this year’s edition of the awards ceremony, making it double for the Kennis Music act.

The obviously elated singer, who also had the honour of being nominated for Best Pop Singer and Best Pop Video at the recently held The Headies, noted that she is still very hopeful in winning more awards at the upcoming Nigerian Music Video Awards, as well as the Soundcity Music Video Awards expected to hold before the year runs out.

“I’m happy and glad that the award came my way…and what this means is that I would be working more than usual. I would need to work harder to ensure that I keep up the pace and churn out good music as well as get more awards. However, I’m hopeful of winning more awards as I have been nominated at the NMVA as well as expecting nominations at the SMVA,” she enthused.
