Love For Cars My Biggest Headache —Ikuforiji
Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, has said the love for cars is his greatest headache.

Ikuforiji, who made this disclosure Wednesday afternoon while addressing staff of the House during the monthly Staff Forum, told them that he was 19 when he began dealing in cars.
According to himi, “I love cars and those who are close to me know that is my greatest headache. Maybe because my father never drove one.
“Even if I become a President today, I am sure I will still have a car shop.”
Ikuforiji was reacting to a request by some of the staff for the provision of better cars for heads of departments. The HODs currently use KIA products.
The Speaker said however that maintaining exotic cars is a huge problem and since from experience only those who can afford to maintain such cars do have them, it would be difficult for civil servants to use them as official vehicles.
He challenged the staff of the Assembly to be serious with their jobs as they are being watched closely and would be rewarded accordingly.
Reacting to complaints by the staff that some of their colleagues have benefited from overseas training while others have not travelled even once, the Speaker said it would be taken care of as he had heard the complaints prior to the meeting.
“The training department will be asked to submit the training schedule henceforth . With that I will be able to know those that would be attending the training and be able to reduce the complaints,” he said.
He also said he had informed the state Governor Babatunde Fashola on the need to have an ambulance in his convoy.
According to him, it is shameful to arrive at an accident scene and not be able to assist the victims.
He expressed optimism that the governor would do justice to the request.
He also promised that the issue of staff buses would be looked into and provisions made in the budget for next year to ease the stress staff pass through after close of work.
