Beach Soccer: NFF Calls 18 For Dubai Inter Continental Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has called up 18 players to the camp of the national Beach Soccer team to prepare for the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Championship taking place in Dubai from 19 – 27 November.

The players, who are to report at the team’s camping site in Badagry, Lagos on Friday, 4 November include veterans Abdul Isah, Isiaka Olawale, Ogbonnaya Okemmiri and Bartholomew Ibenegbu, as well as new stars Victor Tale and Musa Najere.

The national Beach Soccer team, otherwise known as Supersand Eagles, reached the quarter finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup staged in Ravenna, Italy in September. The team came close to oust four-time world champions, Brazil before bowing out after extra time.
