Council Boss Supervises Removal Of Campaign Posters

Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Kehinde Bamigbetan yesterday led a 30-man team to remove campaign posters littering the council area.

The team was inaugurated at the council secretariat and deployed to the nook and cranny of the council area for the exercise.

Earlier, Bamigbetan had led some officials of Ejigbo LCDA to LASAA office to intimate it of the resolve to rid the council area of campaign posters and in compliance with the directive of Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola on keeping the state’s outdoor clean.

LASAA Enforcement Manager, Michael Yedenu commended Bamigbetan as being the first among his colleagues across the 57 local government areas and LCDA in Lagos State to comply with the directive.

LASAA, on Monday, 2 October trained members of the poster removal team and also deployed two teams to work with the council’s removal team.

Governor Fashola had asked the newly sworn-in chairmen to remove campaign posters littering the state. He said the chairmen should consider the exercise as their first official assignment.
