Ordinand Out With New Movie

As The Unknown Prince is billed to be launched in Ughelli, Delta State, producer of the movie, Tejiri Onos, an ordinand of the African Church College of Theology, Ifako, Lagos, believes the shift in the date of the ceremony is a blessing in disguise.
According to him, “everything has now been put in place to make the day a memorable one.â€
The launch of the movie, which has already received the nod of several movers and shakers of the society in Delta State, was postponed from 30 October, 2011 due to some logistics problems. With the movie, the Diploma III theological student hopes to encourage the Ughelli youths not to depend solely on the oil flowing in the region, which is an intergral part of the Niger Delta. “Rather, they should strive harder to utilise their God given potentials, because everyone of us is pregnant, but the problem is that many do not even know how to be delivered while some do not even know that they are pregnant.â€
The Unknown Prince shot in Ughelli, Delta State, features casts like Oghenerho Enomate, Dennis Obukwho, Sweet Glo among others.
The movie, which is divided into two parts, was directed by Ejiata Ovedje.
The plot of the movie revolves around the struggle of the main character, the Unknown Prince. Here, the Prince struggles tooth and nail to accomplish his destiny to ascend the throne. But, there is a fierce battle between him and the incumbent King who suppresses, frustrates and intimidates him. But the Unknown Prince achieves his aim in the end because he never relents.
The movie would not have seen the light of the day, but for the encouragement and assistance of the leadership of the African Church especially when Onos went for his theological practical training at Abraham African Church, Agbarho, Ughelli.
“It was very difficult to combine the production of the movie with my theological training. In fact, I almost lost my theological career. But in the end, I thank God and the leadership of the African Church for the assistance and encouragement I receied,†Onos declared.
