Olympic Playoffs: Eguavoen Banks On Luck In Morocco

Coach of Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles, Austin Eguavoen has said that his team will try their best to secure a ticket to play in next year’s Olympic Games in London in the qualifying tournament.

The qualifiers will take place in Morocco later this month, but an element of luck us still needed for them to succeed.

The former Super Eagles’ coach, who is having the last lap of his team’s preparation for the Olympic playoffs in Accra, Ghana, said: “We don’t expect anything less than qualification ticket for the Olympics. The boys are doing well in the camp, but I want to say that everything in life depends on a bit of luck. On our own we’ll try our best.”

Eguavoen is expected to join the team in camp today. Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles left for Accra at the weekend with assistant coach, Stanley Eguma in company of 26 local players. The invited foreign based stars are to join the team in Ghana before leaving for Morocco.
