Wusu FC To Launch Camp Site
As part of its effort to ensure a conducive environment for its players to learn the rudiment of modern days football, management of Wusu Football Club/Academy, Idiroko, Ogun State, Nigeria, has decided to launch a camp site for its players.
To this end, a N250m fund raising ceremony will be held on Saturday, 19 November at Iko Gateway Grammar School, Ajegunle, Idiroko.
Wal Royal Nigeria Limited, the management of Wusu FC, which is headed by Deaconess Juliana Olude of Wusu Family, has put all logistics in place for a successful launching of the camp site under the chairmanship of Elder Toyin Taiwo.
The Chief launcher is Chief Titus Babajide, Asiwaju of Ipokia, while special guest of honour is Suraj Adekunbi, Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly.
Ahead of the launching, Wusu FC recently unveiled their players to the public at a brief ceremony in Idiroko.
Thirty five players in the main team were presented with registration forms, Identity cards and contract papers, while 25 players in the feeder team were given only ID cards and registration forms.
Team Manager of the club, Coach Tunde Oyebande Adesina told P.M.Sports that the unveiling was held to show the seriousness of the management on the programmes it has for the players.
He said Wusu FC/Academy is out to add value to Nigerian football with the aim of discovering, grooming and nurture young players to the stardom. He noted that with connection around the world especially in European countries like Switzerland, Holland, Norway, Denmark and United Kingdom, talented Nigerian young players will have the opportunity of plying their trades with clubs in these countries with assistant from the club.
He revealed that two of their players left for Iranian Al-Ittihad Club last weekend with the assistant of the Wusu FC, while plan is underway to bring scouts from abroad to have on the spot assessment on the activities of the club by next month.
“We want the best for our players, that is why we want to place then on monthly salary and allowances to motivate them,†said Coach Adesina.
