Community Leader Tasks LG Chairmen On Governance
An Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) stalwart and market leader of Aswani Market in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, Alhaji Taoreed Faronbi Alado, has advised the newly elected local government chairmen in the state to follow the footsteps of the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the governance of their respective councils.
Alado, who spoke from Saudi Arabia, where he is on pilgrimage, urged them to stick to the manifestos of ACN in the state and ensure that they render selfless service to the people that voted them into power to prove that they are true progressive and democrats.
He commended the leadership style of the ex-governor and for making sure that the party worked assiduously for the victory of its candidates in the state.
Alado also expressed satisfaction over the construction of roads in the state by Governor Fashola’s administration, while appealing to the governor to hasten completion of Isheri Osun-Ijegun-Jakande road in Igando/Ikotun council area.
The community leader also reiterated his loyalty to the ACN, saying that since the days of Action Group (AG), Alliance for Democracy (AD) and now ACN, he has always belonged to the progressive camp with the support of Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji.
He noted that the 22 October, 2011 council election has clearly shown that ACN will continue to dominate the entire Mushin, while praising security operatives in the state for maintaining peace and orderliness during the poll, especially in Mushin and warned against violence in the area.
He called on Nigerian pilgrims to be good ambassadors, pray for the peace and unity of the country, noting that no nation can prosper without peace.
