Midnight Crew Celebrates

Popular gospel music group, Midnight Crew, has rolled out plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the music scene and part of the activities that will headline the celebration is a musical concert tagged Praise Of A Decade.

Within its 10 years of existence, Midnight Crew has established itself as one of the most vibrant gospel groups, receiving laurels both on the local and international scenes. The groupâ€s songs, Igwe, in particular, have also become an anthem of sorts among music lovers.

To commemorate its contribution to the music industry in the past 10 years, are series of activities spanning a week and to be headlined with a live concert dubbed Praise of a Decade, on 27 November, 2011.

The show holds at the Main Auditorium, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

Speaking on plans to make the celebration memorable, Patricia King, a member of the quartet, disclosed that their aim is to impact positively on the society in every way possible.

“Part of our week-long activities include a visit to the motherless babies’ homes where we will share fun, excitement and our happiness with them in the spirit of love,” Patricia said.

Midnight Crew, she further said, has also concluded arrangement to set up a foundation for the betterment of the society and to achieve this, the group is using the opportunity of its anniversary concert as a launch pad for several upcoming gospel acts, including Zerah, Vivian, Stephen, Nosa, Psalmos, Doris Dumah, Monique and Aâ€dams.

Meanwhile, the group has completed work on its new album scheduled to hit the shelves in the early weeks of next month.
