Denton Police Station Gets Face-lift

The Denton Police Station, Ebute Metta, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria,  has been given a face-lift.

P.M.NEWS gathered that all departments of the division were renovated and furnished with facilities such as flat screen television sets.

The toilets, halls and the roof  of the station had a re-touch.

A source in the station who pleaded anonymity said: “A conducive and sweet smelling environment now exists in the Denton Police Division,” adding; “These flat screen TV sets, water system toilets and the expanded hall are to create a conducive environment for men and officers to work.

“There is 100% confidence in Denton Police Station now compared to what it was in the past. The station was smelling, but now it is counted to be one of the neatest stations in the country.

“It is all as a result of contributions from philanthropic individuals, friends and associations.”

Another source said: “There had been gossip everywhere that the Denton environment was stinking but when I got to the station, I realised that there was nothing like that. In fact, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The renovated toilet is like a sitting   room in which one can eat.

“I will only advise the gossips to look for something else to do. In terms of combating crime, many DPOs had been deplored to this station who could not do  much.

“Well, to me, I think the DPO is doing very well. If you go to some other stations, you will see the comparison, most stations in Lagos are dirty.

“Denton and Ilupeju police stations are challenges to other stations. Kudos to the two stations,” the source said.
