Student Threatens To Kill Neighbour


A 28-year-old student, Mr. Francis David, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Abuja Magistrates’ Court for threatening to kill one Felicia Joseph.

The Prosecutor, Mr. Clement Egwu, told the court that on November 8, Joseph of the National Assembly quarters Life Camp, Abuja, reported the case at Life Camp Police Station, Abuja.

Egwu said that David, of Berger quarters also in Life Camp, went to the complainant’s house, and threw out her property, threatening to pour acid on her face and to kill her if she refused to move out of Life Camp.

He added that the action of the accused contravened section 397 of the Penal Code.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge of criminal intimidation brought against him.

Magistrate Sadiya Mayana granted him bail in the sum of N10,000 with two sureties, who must have reasonable and decent means of livelihood, and must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.

Mayana adjourned the case to November 30, for hearing.
