Ankara Music Festival, a cultural show which seeks to integrate Ankara fabric and music in one event, is to debut later this month in Lagos.

The first of its kind in the entertainment industry, it is powered by Bestamos Concept and billed to take place between 25 and 27 November, 2011 at the Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos. The event’s coordinator, Gbenga Ayodeji, described the festival as a social gathering targeted at bringing veteran fashion designers, stakeholders in cultural activities and entertainers together in an interactive gathering towards unveiling and promoting positive cultural values.

According to him, it is also aimed at promoting Ankara fabric and designs as well as integrating culture through visual arts and local craft with entertainment, adding that it is going to be a platform to exhibit models who will showcase latest fashion with Ankara made with carefully selected designs to be handled by a host of renowned designers.

He also stated that speakers will deliver papers at a talk show on related topics with special emphasis on cultural values and means of generating employment through exploiting indigenous cultural values and resources.

The two-tier event, he stated further, promises to be an atmosphere for transmission of pertinent information, engaging participants using the festival as a bait to incite positive values.

Dignitaries expected at the event include Senator (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu, Olusola Semapon Oworu and Oyinlomo Danmole, while the hosts Wasiu Eshinlokun Sanni and Kamal Salau Bashua, chairmen, Lagos Island Local Government and Lagos East Local Council Development Area respectively as well as Mr. Yomi Badejo Okusanya .

Ankara Music Festival is in partnership with the Director of CBZ Music School, Mr. Etim N. Daniel, Ambassador Segun Olusola, the founder of Africa Refugee Foundation; Sharaloge Wears, Aisha Loro Vogue, Nifty Needle Print Office, Box-it Ventures, Sulanpance, Fireworks Events and Arena International Promotion.
