Siasia, NFF At Loggerheads Over Assistants’ Salaries

Former Super Eagles’ Coach Samson Siasia

Sacked Super Eagles’ coach, Samson Siasia, has warned Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to pay his former assistant coaches to avoid a face-off with him.

He said that his former employer, the NFF is unfair to them by not paying their outstanding salaries as they paid his own last week.

Siasia, who was relieved of the Eagles’ job after failing to qualify the nation for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, said he would not keep silent on the non-payment of the salaries of his Dutch assistant coach, Simon Kalika and Nigerian, Haruna Yusuf. He added that he won’t complain about the goalkeeper’s trainer, Ike Shorounmu’s outstanding, as he is still the employee of the NFF.

“NFF need to pay Kalika and Yusuf their outstanding salaries. They are not fair to them by not paying them after relieving them of their duties. I won’t agitate for Shorunmu’s allowances because he is still on the pay roll of the NFF,” he said.
