For the first time in his career, 2Face Idibia recently performed for Nigerian Breweries plc.
Showbiz Trends learnt that the event took place on Friday 11 November at the hat trick event organised by the company to re-launch some of its brands at the new Expo Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites.
A visibly elated 2Face announced to all how excited he was to finally be on the bill of the company. With his regular confidence on stage, he intermittently paused during his performance to show appreciation and pour praises on the brewers for the golden opportunity.
And for more than an hour, 2Face held guests spellbound with different hits from his albums and some from the Plantashun Boiz’s day.
Speaking on the new relationship with NB plc, Don Tee, one of the top executives with NowMuzik, the management firm that handles 2Face said it was a new vista for the singer. He explained that 2Face was hamstrung by the endorsement deal with rival company, Guinness, which expired about three years ago.
“This (endorsement deal) has impeded him from having any contact with NBplc. His contractual agreement with Guinness has expired and we remain friends with all the companies,†he said.
