The Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN), recently held a seminar to educate students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), on how to reduce suffering and untimely deaths caused by breast cancer.

The programme, which took place at the Afe Babalola Hall, was aimed at enlightening students on the perception of breast cancer as a disease that has no cure.

According to the President of BRECAN, Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu, “our mission is to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease in Nigeria, through public education, parent support, advocacy and research.”
