I Didn’t Collect N20m From Ogun Politician —Ayodele
Founder of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, JP, has denied the allegation that he collected N20 million from a prominent politician in Ogun State during the last gubernatorial election.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS during a press briefing at the corporate headquarters of his church in Isolo, Lagos, Ayodele said: ‘I have read a copy of last week’s edition of a soft sell magazine which published that I collected N20 million from a gubernatorial aspirant during the last election in Ogun State. I have been in God’s vineyard for 25 years and I have never been rubbished by anybody or faced any criminal charge, having fleet of cars should not be their headache. I do not dupe people to achieve what I achieve. My God is not a poor God. I do not reside in Igando as the magazine wrote.
They also mentioned prominent Nigerians who visited my church. “Yesâ€, people of different calibre come to me and what they come for should not be for public consumption.
“This is not journalistic, I have respect for journalists. They should tell the politician to come and challenge me. There is also a site called Iya-moja.com, and I warn Nigerians not to go to that site. They are using it to extort money from Nigerians. Just last week, one of these people reached me on my phone demanding N300,000 and I recorded the dubious guy’s conversation which I hope to tender as an evidence in court,†he said.
