Kidnappers of Madam Margaret, the 80-year old mother of the Deputy Leader of Rivers State House of Assembly, Nname Robinson Ewor, have insisted on getting N20 million as ransom.
P.M.NEWS learnt that the abductors, who stormed the old woman’s home in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state yesterday, have contacted the lawmaker insisting on N20 million if he wanted he would like to see his mother again alive.
But he is in quandary as to how he would get that amount of money to pay as ransom.
Ewor, who represents Ahoada East Constituency 1 in the state House of Assembly, wondered why criminals should subject his frail 80-year old mother to such traumatic experience and called on the abductors to have sympathy on the old woman and set her free.
Meanwhile, it was learnt this morning that law enforcement agencies have been alerted and are on the trail of the kidnappers.
