46 Wrestlers For Oshiomhole Tourney

At least 46 renowned world wrestlers will feature in the forthcoming Comrade Adams Oshiomhole International Pro-Wrestling Championship 2012.

The wrestling tournament is scheduled to hold in February next year across the senatorial districts of Edo State, Nigeria.

According to the Coordinator of the event, Prince Hammed Olanrewaju Mohammed, the championship will be staged in two centres each of the three senatorial districts of Edo state.

The Edo State-born wrestler, Strong Bone “Erujeje”, the Nigeria’s heavyweight champion, whose real name is Lucky Okhuelegbe, will lead other wrestlers to Benin City for the Edo 2012 Parade of the Titans.

Other wrestlers coming for the events are Hulk Power of Benin Republic, Tya Mupepe of Congo D.R., Noudem Michel of Angola, Stephan Mba of Cameroon, USA Bing of Congo Brazaville, Moss from Greece, Eirik Justra from Norway, Ridvan Farag from Kuwait, Aurora from Trinidad and Tobago, Masato Tanaka from Japan, Wes Brisco from USA, Chris Bambikiller from Austria, Michael Kovak from Hongkong, Banilux Bulldog from Scotland, Starbuck from Canada and Sicodelico from Mexico.

Meanwhile, Prince Mohammed, who is also the Financial Secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria, (ACN) Lagos, said that two wrestling rings have been ordered from a ring manufacturing company based in Australia.

“The first ring is ready, while the second one is under construction. As soon as the second one is ready, the rings would be brought to Nigeria,” said Mohammed, who was the Coordinator of the BRF Wrestlemania 2011 organised in September this year to honour Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
