GUS 8 Enters Contest Of Champions Phase

With the emergence of the last 10 contenders in the jungle of Ososo Hills, Akoko Edo, Edo State, all is now set for the final phase of the eighth season of Gulder Ultimate Search, GUS, in what has been dubbed the Contest of Champions.

According to the Order of Heroes of the reality show, the 10 Champions are Kelvin Durst, Promise Ojiegbe and Anastasia Azike qualified from Batch A, while Anthony Igwe, Tony Horsfall and Christopher Okagbue qualified from Batch B. And Batch C had Olanrewaju Alawoki, Fejiro Ejogbamu and Sunday Gyang as the group’s top performers.

Patience Ihongbe became the 10th Champion, after emerging winner from the group of three evicted contestants who were voted back in by the viewers from the three batches. She won the task in the not-so-stiff competition which pitched her against Geraldine Obi from Batch A and Theodora Egbu from Batch B. The task in question was called Blast from The Past.

For the first time in GUS 8, all 10 ‘champions’ were addressed by both Bob Manuel Udokwu and Darey ‘Art’ Alade, the show anchors. The ‘champions’ also had to undergo the rigours of looking for a new camp site for this final stage of the competition.

While the champions are not aware of the fate that awaits them, each of them is of the opinion that the ‘Contest of Champions’ tasks, would be more difficult than the tasks they encountered earlier in the competition.
