Nice Base Lift Balogun Cup

Nice Base Football Club have emerged the champions after defeating Royal Strickers 5-3 on penalty shootout after 2-2 at the regulation time in the final of the Yakub Balogun  Cup held recently at the Campos Sports Centre, Lagos Island.

Nice Base supporters expressed happiness over the team’s victory.

Some of them who spoke to GSG after the match said it would have been a disaster for them if their team failed to win the tournament. “We thank God that our team did not lose this final. We came here in large numbers and we are going home with the trophy. It was a good match for us,” he said.
