Out-of-favour Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, says he still dreams to be part of the senior national team under Stephen Keshi if he is invited.
Yakubu has not been part of the Eagles after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The Yak, as Yakubu is fondly called, while speaking on BBC Fast Track early today, said one of his ambitions next year is to work his way back into the Super Eagles.
He said: “I have rediscovered my form lately and that is good for me and I hope it will help my team, Blackburn Rovers, out of the relegation zone.
“It is my dream to keep the team in the Premier League at the end of the season and ultimately I want to be part of the Nigerian national team under the new coach. But that will depend on the coach if he thinks I am good enough to be part of it.â€
