FIBA Africa Tourney: First Deepwater Face Angola
Nigerian domestic league champions, First Deepwater Basketball of Lagos, will face a big task challenging the defending champions, Interclube of Angola at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, this evening.
Bamidele Olowosagba reports that the ties against the Angolan side is Deepwater’ second game of the tourney after they thrashed another Angolan team, Maculosso, in their first match on Sunday by 64-46 points.
Speaking ahead of today’s match, coach Lateef Erinfolami of Deepwater told P.M.Sports that they planned to approach the match with all seriousness because Interclube won’t be easy.
Coach of Interclube, Delfina Campos, who spoke through his captain, Green Danille, who was part of the First Bank of Nigeria team that won the African title in 2009 before joining Interclube last year, said they expect a tough match today.
