Raymond King Tasks Wusu FC On Discipline

Players of Wusu Football Club and Academy have been charged to remain focused and disciplined in order to succeed in their chosen careers.

Former Nigerian international and ex-goalkeeper of the defunct Abiola Babes of Abeokuta, Raymond King, at the launching of the camp site of Wusu FC in Ajegunle, Idi Iroko, Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State recently, said that he foresees a bright future for the players judging by the vision of the management of the club.

The new camp site of the club is situated at Taiwo Street, behind old Immigration Office, Ajegunle, Idi Iroko. King, the assistant goalkeeper’s trainer of Gateway FC of Abeokuta, said the camp site will provide the players a conducive environment to learn the rudiments of the game under the tutelage of Coach Tunde Oyebande and his technical crew.

Chairman of the launching ceremony, which was held at the playground of Iko Grammar School in Ajegunle, Idi Iroko, Elder Toyin Taiwo, described the project as a good initiative and called on well meaning Nigerians to support the dream of the management of Wusu FC, Wal Royal Nigeria Limited to give Nigerian youths a well-secured future.

Team Manager, Coach Oyebande, said the camp site is a home away from home for the players and urged them to be good ambassadors of their homes during their stay in the club. Oyebande said Wusu FC/Academy is out to add value to the Nigerian football with the aim of discovering and grooming young players to stardom.

He said with assistance from the club, talented Nigerian young players will have the opportunity to ply their trades with clubs in European countries like Switzerland, Holland, Norway, Denmark and United Kingdom.

At the event, novelty matches were also played between the players. The match between the female team of the club and the U-15 male team ended 1-1 while the tie between the senior Team A and Team B of the club ended 2-0 in favour of Team B.
