FIBA-Africa Tourney: First Bank, Deepwater Clash In Semi Final

Two Nigerian teams, First Bank and First Deepwater, will meet in the semi finals of the ongoing 17th FIBA-Africa Club championship holding inside the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, today.

This evening’s clash will be the second time both sides will play each other in the tourney after the ‘Elephant Girls’, as First Bank are popularly known, defeated the ‘Oil and Gas’ ladies 68-60 points in the group stage on Wednesday.

Deepwater coach, Lateef Erinfolami, said they have forgotten about Wednesday’s defeat and are looking forward to today’s match.

Coach Aderemi Adewunmi of First Bank said they are ready to unleash terror on their compatriots because of the final ticket.

“We are going to play Deepwater the same way we played the last match,” Adewunmi said.
