SWAN Cup: TheNEWS In Tough Group

TheNEWS football team have been handed a tough draws ahead of the 2011 football championship of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Lagos State chapter, which begins on Monday.

The draws ceremony held yesterday at the SWAN’s secretariat, inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, saw TheNEWS drawn in Group C alongside Silverbird, Supersports, Radio Nigeria and Galaxy TV.

Teams in Group A include the defending champions, Sports Day, TVC, Sun and Beat F.M. Nigerian Television Authority, Compass, Photo Sports and SuperSport.com are in Group B, while Group D is made up of the Correspondence, Mastersports, Cool F.M, Unilag Radio and Sportsville.
