Dr. Nasiru Gawuna has emerged as the new National President of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON.
The YSFON election, which was held on Saturday at the Women Conference Centre in Abuja, saw Gawuna elected as the President unopposed, while Tom Agi was elected as Deputy National President.
National Media Coordinator of YSFON, Ayo Ojedokun, said that all the delegates from the 36 states of the federation were in attendance for the poll. He disclosed that the new President was happy for the support he received from the YSFON members and promised that his administration will ensure that the body carries out its programmes without delay.
“Gawuna is aware of the challenges ahead of him, that was why he promised to give his best to take YSFON to the next level. He also promised that the national body of federation will give necessary financial support to all the 36 state chapters including the FCT, Abuja to execute their programmes,” said Ojedokun.
