Ikeja Challenge Cup Enters Q/Finals

The quarter final of  Ikeja Challenge Cup Soccer Competition will hold tomorrow at Adeniyi Jones Primary School,  Ikeja, Lagos.

In the pairing made available to GSG, Ikeja All Stars FC will confront Seriki Aro Talent FC, Smart Strikers FC will battle Undisputable Champions FC Uprising FC will tackle Opebi Boys FC while  Wattson FC will take on Ojodu FC in the last quarter final of the day.

The championship kicked off last Saturday as Ikeja All Stars defeated Smart Strikers 2-0 in a pulsating opening match.Chidi Nwankwo  scored the opening goal in the 6th minute before Sunday Adebiyi scored the second goal for All Stars in the encounter watched by a large crowd.

Commenting on the tourney, Match Cordinataor, Tayo Aderinola, told GSG that he is impressed with the officiating and standard of play by the participating teams.

“The standard of this year’s edition is impressive. I commend the participating teams for the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited.

Whichever team win tomorrow’s game should be ready for their semi final match on Sunday,” he said.
