Father Of Ritual Killer’s Victim Dies Of Shock

Mr. Ibitayo Gbelee, father of the 36-year old woman, Olukemi Gbelee who was murdered by suspected ritualists in January at Baruwa in Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, is dead.

Gbelee who never recovered from the shock of the gruesome murder of his daughter, died this morning as a result of the incident.

The late Olukemi Gbeke was reported to have left her father’s residence at about 4 a.m. to pick a number so that she could register for the general elections held in April.

She was ambushed by ritualists who killed and gouged out her two eyes. Some vital parts of her body were also reported missing.

Her mutilated corpse was dumped inside a bush at the Mechanic Village around Two-Storey Bus Stop in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. The decomposed body was discovered six days later.

After the incident, P.M.NEWS visited her parents’ residence at 56, Candos Road, Baruwa. Her worried and hypertensive father could not speak with P.M.NEWS correspondent. But Olukemi’s younger brother, Omotayo narrated how his sister left home early that morning and she never returned.

Since then, her father had battled hypertension and shock related ailment to no avail.

A family source confirmed the death of her father, Mr. Ibitayo Gbelee this morning, adding that he did not recover from the shock of Olukemi’s killing.
