Cleric Warns Jonathan On Fuel Subsidy Removal

The General Overseer of Kingdom of Love Church of Christ, Aguda, Ogba, Lagos, Prophet Dr. Felix Oluyemi has warned President Goodluck Jonathan against the planned removal of petroleum subsidy which he described as a time bomb that may explode any moment.

Speaking during a Sunday service in his church, Oluyemi said, “the fuel subsidy removal is like sitting on a keg of gun powder which is about to explode,” because the government’s action will be followed by a spate of crises that might culminate in the impeachment of the president.

Quoting from a statement made by the political sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in 1985, Oluyemi said, “when the masses revolt, nobody can stop them,”

He called for serious prayers for the president to listen to the voice of wisdom and stop the planned fuel subsidy removal.
