Comedy and fun lovers in the bubbling city of Port Harcourt would be treated to rib-cracking jokes and good music this Christmas as one of Nigeria’s most versatile entertainers, Julius Agwu takes Nigeria’s most popular comedy brand, Crack Ya Ribs to the Garden City.
Having postponed the Lagos show, the organisers are concentrating their energy on the Port-Harcourt show to make it a resounding success. Billed to hold on 25 December at Hotel Presidential, with feelers reaching Showbiz Trends, the show might be South-South’s biggest comedy concert of the year.
As always, the show will be hosted by star comedian, Julius Agwu, and billed to thrill the audience are music acts including Ice Prince, Frank Edwards, Kcee, Ijaw Boys Allstarz and Burna Boy. The audience would be treated to rib cracking jokes from comic acts like Buchi, Dan d’humorous, Senator, Osama, Funky4, Prince Hezekiah, Romeo, and Acapella.
According to Julius Agwu, he and his team decided to concentrate more on the Port-Harcourt show this year to bring quality entertainment to the city.
Crack Ya Ribs, one of the longest running comedy shows in the country, was held this year in Abuja and London on 21 and 28 August respectively.
The London edition of the show featured performances by stars like 9ice, Jesse Jagz, Dr Crime (Ghana), Ruff & Smooth (Ghana), Gordons, I Go Dye, Osama, Funny Bone, Dan D Humorous, Princess and Senator with DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Abass and DJ Osa Jatt on the wheels of steel.
