As part of activities to reposition itself for the 2015 general elections, the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has inaugurated a seven man disciplinary committee to look into the alleged anti-party activities of some members.
The decision to inaugurate the committee, according to the state chairman of the party, Mr. Setonji Koshoedo, is in line with the party’s constitution.
The committee, Political Platform gathered, is chaired by Mrs Onikepo-Oshodi. Other members include Dr Segun Ogundimu, Dr Remi Akintoye, Mr. Yaya Dosunmu, Mr. Phillips Aivoji, Princess Gbite Olateru and Barrister Anayo Emenua as secretary.
The committee is expected to submit its findings with recommendations to the party EXCO. According to the constitution of the party, structures at the various levels have the powers to sanction erring members at such levels.
