Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke has joined Schalke 04 on loan from another German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim till the end of the season.
According to the official website of Schalke, they would also have the first right of refusal for a permanent transfer for the player at the end of the season.
MTNFootball.com reports that Schalke general manager, Horst Heldt, has hailed the arrival of the Super Eagles star.
â€œHeâ€™s a quick and versatile attacking player and he is eligible for the Europa league with immediate effect,â€ remarked Heldt.
Ogbuke has been unsettled at Hoffenheim and was only recently suspended by the club for perpetual late coming.
Recently, the Nigeria international said that he would be open to offers especially from the glamorous English Premier League after four years in Germany.
The 25-year-old Ogbuke will team up with his new team for a training camp in Qatar from 4 January.
