2005 Set Win Adeshina Cup

The Project Team 2005 Set of Adeshina Football Club have won the 2011/2012 Adeshina Football Championship which was played at the Powerline playground, Adura, Alagbado, Lagos on Monday.

The Project Team 2005 Set defeated the 2002 Set 2-1 to lift the trophy and won the sum of N20,000, while the runners- up got the sum of N15,000 courtesy of the sponsor, Coach Tunde Adeshina Oyebande, who has been sponsoring the tournament since 1998.

Sule Olasunkanmi and Enweren Lasserian Gift were the scorers of two goals for the 2005 Set, while Saheed Folorunsho scored the lone goal of the 2002 Set.

Dignitaries that graced the final of the championship involving eight teams included Pastor Jeremiah Bello of the Covenant City Ministries, Okesina Street, Iyana-Meiran, Lagos, Mr. Olude and Jona Oketola from Benin Republic.

Adeshina Football Championship is an annual tournament involving past and current players of Adeshina Football Club.
