Glo Tasks NFF On Nigerian Football

Telecommunications giant, Globacom has called on the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to diagnose the challenges facing the nation’s football and proffer solutions towards re-packaging the game in the country.

Glo said that the recent Annual General Assembly, AGA of NFF held in Kaduna was a stepping stone in this direction.

The company in a statement in Lagos yesterday called on the soccer house to take the bull by the horns and take measures that will lead to the restoration of the nation’s pride in continental and global football tournaments.

According to Glo: “The expectation of the nation is indeed huge and we have the confidence that the NFF has the capacity to rise to the occasion and salvage our football.”

The company stated further that NFF needs the support of all well meaning Nigerians at this critical period, urging the people to avail the federation of such support.

Globacom stated that its sponsorship of sports, particularly football is predicated on the game’s role as a national unifier, adding that the company is optimistic that the decisions taken during NFF’s Assembly would facilitate the resurgence of Nigeria’s national teams, especially the Super Eagles.

The company assured the NFF, football administrators, coaches, players and soccer loving Nigerians in general of its commitment towards the comprehensive development of the game in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
