Nigeria Premier League: 3SC’s Home Victory Excites Adepoju

Team Manager of 3SC of Ibadan, Mutiu Adepoju, has expressed happiness about the victory recorded by his team in their opening match of the 2011/2012 Nigeria Premier League, NPL, season.

Speaking with 2muchsports .com after the match which saw 3SC bouncing back from a goal down to beat Sharks of Port Harcourt 2-1 at the weekend. Adepoju said he was indeed a happy man seeing his boys respond the way they did after conceding the goal to finally win the match.

“I am really happy with the attitude and commitment of the players in the match. Coming from a goal down to win the match is not an easy thing to do for a team that are just trying to get their acts together.

“You know we did not have enough time to train before the season commenced and yet they were able to come out with such a performance. That means the season will be an interesting one for us.

The team’s two goals were scored by Talabi Olumakinde and Osagona Ighodaro in the 73rd and 86th minutes respectively. Bright Ejike had put Sharks ahead in the 48th minute.

“Our next game is another home match against Gombe and we hope to have a better game in that match.

“I am also happy that the home fans not only enjoyed the match but went home satisfied with the performance of the team,” he said.
