Nigeria’ll Beat Angola — Idris

Super Eagles’ defender, Papa Idris, says he is confident that Stephen Keshi’s local stars will beat Angola in the international friendly game scheduled for the Abuja National Stadium tomorrow.

The former captain of Kaduna United, who has just signed for Kano Pillars this season told P.M.Sports in Abuja that the players are eager to showcase their prowess against Angola, adding that beating the Palancas Negras will send a message that the local players are good enough to rub shoulders with the foreign-based players in the senior national team.

“Our aim is to beat Angola tomorrow. People say we are local players. We want to prove to Nigerians that we are capable of beating Angola. Although it is a friendly game we are very serious about winning this tie,” he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Musa Amadu, has expressed the federation’s concern about security for tomorrow’s tie.

“NFF is worried about security for this match. We have been working with the police and other security agencies and they all assured us of a crisis free encounter,” he said.
