Table Tennis: Union Bank Targets More Laurels

Chief Coach of Union Bank Table Tennis Club, Samson Ajayi says his target this year is to win more laurels for the club.

Ajayi disclosed that the club want to achieve greatter things this year than last year considering the quality of players in the club.

He said it will be a setback if the club cannot surpass the achievements recorded last year.

He charged his players to be more committed and give their best to the club this year.

“We have started recruiting new players to fortify the club. We cannot afford to fail this year because our target is to win more laurels than last year,” he said.

Ajayi said the club have what it takes to win more diadems this year, adding that the players are in high spirits to achieve this set target.

He disclosed that the club have signed Akeem Adeniyi as part of their build up to the Nigeria Clubs Championship which comes up in April and Africa Clubs Championship which holds later in the year.
