Babangida’s Office Burnt, Police Inspector Killed

The Niger State capital, Minna in northcentral Nigeria, boiled today as protesters took to the streets and burnt down the state INEC headquarters and eight vehicles.

A Police Inspector was also killed in the mayhem and properties worth thousands of naira burnt.

The chamber of the vice chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Tanko, was destroyed along with a bus in the premises.

The presidential campaign office of Niger State Governor, Aliyu Babangida, IBB, was completely destroyed.

Reports also said that the home of Senator Dahiru Awaisu was torched by the protesters.
