After watching Stephen Keshi-tutored local eagles displayed sublime football artistry in the international friendly game against Angola on Wednesday, the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, says there is no doubt that the former Nigerian international through the dedication of the local players can take Nigeria to the Promised Land in football.

Barrister Musa Amadu, the acting General Secretary of the NFF, told P.M. Sports in Abuja that if given enough time, the home- based Eagles can help bring good fortunes back to the Nigerian football.

He added that the team played to the delight of the fans and the stakeholders of the game.

“The team played at a very high level expected of an international football and with this display, there is no doubt that Keshi can use these players to take Nigeria to the Promised Land. The NFF is happy with this development and we hope for more favourable results.” Amadu said.

He added: “It is now obvious that the local materials must be given more opportunities to showcase their talents in the national team. This is what they need and the NFF will support the technical crew in this noble project. What Nigerians want is a strong team of dedicated players and this is what the local professionals showed against Angola .”
