Three governors elected on the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), on Sunday boarded an Air Force presidential jet from Ikeja to Abuja, in connection with the removal of petrol subsidy.

Governors Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun and Abiola Ajumobi of Oyo State, departed from the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 2:10p.m. in the jet with registration number 5N-FG.

They had arrived at the presidential lounge at about 1:40p.m. with their aides. They waited for about 30 minutes before the jet arrived to pick them.

Amosun told newsmen at the airport, “We are on our way to resolve the matter. As you can see, I am not protesting.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Amosun did not respond to further questions by journalists on how they intended to resolve the petrol subsidy removal crisis.

The other governors did not make any comment as they walked straight to the tarmac, then, into the aircraft.
