Truck Crashes Into Filling Station

Many people escaped death this morning on Ikorodu road in Lagos, following an accident involving a tipper truck.

The truck, heading toward Obanikoro-Onipanu, veered off the three-lane expressway and rammed into a Mobil Filling Station on the other side of the road

The filling station is located between Obanikoro and Anthony bus-stop.

The truck damaged a petrol dispensing machine before ramming into the station’s office.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the driver of the trruck lost control due to a brake failure.

An eyewithness told P.M.NEWS that the accident occurred early today.

A similar incident occurred yesterday when an articulated vehicle with registration number Borno XD 364 MAG ran over six other vehicles in a queue to purchase fuel at Capital Filling Station along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The accident involved four private cars and two commuters buses.

Although no life was lost, the owner of a Honda CRV with registration number TW 665 KJA was seriously injured.

P.M.NEWS also gathered that the driver of the flour-laden truck lost control due to a brake failure.
