Jang Advises Residents Against External Influence

Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau has advised the people to resist any external influence aimed at disrupting peace in the state.

Jang, in a statement signed by his Director of Press Affairs, Mr. James Manok, also advised the people to be “very vigilant” and report any suspicious movemen to the authorities concerned.

He commended the people of the state for respecting the agreement to observe the suspended nationwide strike peacefully, saying that they had demonstrated to the world that they could express themselves responsibly.

Jang assured the people that the Federal Government meant well with the removal of fuel subsidy and urged them to bear with the initial difficulties.

He called for understanding and patience so as to reap from the exercise in the near future.

The governor also commended organised labour in Plateau for their understanding to suspend the strike.
