Lagos Junior League: Nath Boys Humble Lagos Island

Nathaniel Boys confirmed their supremacy after they defeated their counterparts, Lagos Island East 4-1 in one of the Lagos Junior League matches played last Saturday at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Nathaniel Boys’s Rauf Kola Bello drew the first blood in the 33th minute while Alade Muyiwa of Lagos Island East, who was introduced in the early minutes of the second half got the equalising goal to send their fans into wild jubilation.

But their joy was shortlived when Nathaniel Boys went on rampage as Aminu Abubakar scored a goal ,while Apatira Damilola scored brace to emerge the winners of the encounter.

Speaking after the match, Bello who scored the opening goal for Nathaniel Boys told P.M.Sports that his target is to be the highest goal scorer at the end of the league.

He praised his teammates for their doggedness and determination since the league started. “We have started a new year on a winning note, which I think will help us to win our subsequent matches. It was a tough and good match for us because our opponents gave us a good fight but I thank God that we came out victorious,” he said.

Bello who has scored five goals so far in the league promised to score more in their subsequent matches.
