Police Kill 4 Boko Haram Suspects

The Joint Task Force (JTF) on Operation Restore Order (ORO), says four suspected Boko Haram members believed to have been involved in recent killings in Maiduguri, have been shot dead.

JTF Field Commander, Colonel Victor Ebhaleme, said in a statement in Maiduguri on Monday, that the suspects were shot on Sunday at Pompomari ward in Maiduguri.

“Four suspected members of Boko Haram sect involved in recent killings of innocent souls

in Maiduguri and environs were shot dead in Pompomari area of Maiduguri.

“The suspects have been under surveillance of security agencies for sometime before they were shot,” Ebhaleme said.

He added that the JTF also recovered large quantities of Improvised Explosive Device

(IED) in their possession.

“Various IED materials prepared for detonation were recovered from their golf saloon car.

“The JTF wishes to warn those still harbouring members of the group to desist from such act and report to security agencies useful information about their movements for action,” Ebhaleme added.
