Olumegbon Football Club have warned their counterparts, Ever INC Football Club to prepare for war when both teams clash in the opening match of the late Olori Hadijat Memorial Cup.
The opening ceremony will hold on Saturday at the Igando football playground, Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos.
Team Manager of Olumegbon FC, Sikiru Olumegbon, told GSG that his team are ready to take their opponents to the cleaners when they meet.
He charged his players to take their first match with all seriousness, saying that anything short of victory will be a big disappointment to their fans.
“My players are ready for the opening match against Ever INC FC and I hope that the result will be favourable,” he said.
Sikiru, who called on the organisers to employ certified referees to officiate all matches in the competition, promised the team financial reward if they can go far in the tournament.
Match Cordinator, Femi Yusuf, assured all the eight participating teams of good officiating and warned them to obey the rules and regulations guiding the competition.
The second match between Amuda FC and Dona FC, which will be played on Sunday promises to be explosive.
