Lagos Speaker Counsels Muslims On Eid-el-Maulud

Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, has congratulated Muslims for being alive to witness another celebration of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed.

He also called on all true Muslims to live in peace with fellow Muslims and non-Muslims alike in order to show to all that Islam is a religion of peace.

In his goodwill message to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet today, Ikuforiji said: “I greet fellow Nigerian Muslims as they celebrate yet another birthday of Prophet Mohammed, and pray that we all live to celebrate many more of such birthdays in years to come.

“As true Muslims, we all must eschew chaos and promote peaceful coexistence with fellow Muslims and non-Muslims as well.

“Our conduct must radiate peace and love for fellow Nigerians at all times irrespective of their religion or ethnic background.

“It is only when we live in peace and harmony that our great country, Nigeria, can witness true and sustainable socio-economic development and only then will all Nigerians be able to realize their potentials in all that they do.”
