International Friendly With Liberia: Eagles Begin Training

The Super Eagles this morning in Abuja had their first training session under the watchful eyes of Coach Stephen Keshi ahead of their 15 February international friendly against the Lone Star of Liberia in Liberia.

Stanley Ohabuchi of Heartland FC and Ifeanyi Ude of Enyimba FC are the only two members of the 30-man squad still expected as at the time of filling this report.

The team opened camping yesterday at their Bolton White Apartment but could not train because the players arrived Abuja yesterday and were tired.

Most of the invited players featured for their respective clubs during the weekend and had to travel to Abuja ahead of the tie, which was postponed because of the nationwide strike embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

Information reaching P.M.Sports this morning revealed that Keshi took the players on some technical aspect of the game.

It was gathered that the former coach of Hawks of Togo and Eagles of Mali handler is looking at the possibility of having ten of the players already in camp to feature in the 29 February 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
