Stop Killing Innocent People, Cleric Appeals To Boko Haram
An Islamic Scholar and publisher of the book “The Will Of Allah, Sheikh Oseni Nasirudeen has appealed to the Boko Haram sect to embrace peace and stop the wanton killing and maiming of innocent people to enable Nigeria move forward.
The Epe, Lagos-based cleric also appealed to the Niger Delta militants and members of Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State Of Biafra, MASSOB, to allow peace to reign, saying no meaningful progress could take place in a state of violence.
Speaking about the current insecurity in some parts of northern Nigeria, Oseni the present Public Relations Officer of association of traditional rulers in Epe Lagoon and Abejoye zone, Ibeju Lekki and Eti Osa, Lagos, said the Boko Haram sect and other militants group must have taken up arms against the state and its people due to past governments’ neglect and frustration among the youths as a result of joblessness.
He urged them to give President Goodluck Jonathan a chance. He urged members of the Islamic sect come out and discuss with government.
According to Oseni, Almighty Allah says, “you shall not shed your kinsmen’s blood or turn them out of their dwellings. In order to stop the killing of innocent Nigerians, I did a research as directed by the Almighty Allah on how we can solve the problems of Boko Haram sect and other militant group.
